ABOUT US

Citla Energy is a Mexican independent exploration and production company. With offices in Mexico City and Houston, Citla is an active participant in the opening of the Mexico oil & gas sector, where it seeks to acquire and build a portfolio of selected onshore and offshore assets, both independently and in partnership with other industry participants.

    STRATEGY

    INDEPENDENT O&G; MEXICAN COMPANY

    Leverage affiliates and private equity sponsor portfolio companies, together with strategic partners to consolidate an experienced and well-capitalized E&P; platform with strong local capabilities and infrastructure.

    BALANCED AND COMPREHENSIVE PORTFOLIO

    Build a balanced portfolio of onshore and offshore assets in Mexico, balancing operated, as well as non-operated fields. Flexible and opportunistic approach to diversify portfolio across asset types, stage of development, geographic clusters and risk-sharing co-investments.

    O&G; TECHNICAL AND OPERATING CAPABILITIES

    Develop and offer operating expertise becoming a value-added partner, integrating consortiums that aggregate experienced partners and leading technologies to exploit specific asset types.

    LOCAL KNOWLEDGE AND OPERATING EXPERIENCE

    Consolidate a local management team with years of O&G; experience in Mexico to filter, analyze, select and pursue investment opportunities in an efficient and focused manner. Apply team's experience in bidding processes, field operations, contract management, project management, financial planning and cost controls, to enable robust execution.

    Appointed by Citla Energy on behalf of the IFC, Acorn International, LLC, an independent environmental and social (E&S;) consultancy, was contracted to review E&S; information gathered through communications with Citla Energy, its operating partners, and associated contractors regarding Citla Energy´s joint venture projects and Citla Energy itself.

    Acorn International, LLC prepares Independent Monitoring Reports every year or after exploration activities are conducted. These reports include thorough reviews of Citla Energy's activities. As a result of these reviews, Acorn International, LLC has found that Citla Energy projects are in compliance with (1) the IFC Performance Standards, (2) Applicable Environmental and Social (E&S) Law, (3) the Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP), (4) the Corrective Action Plan (CAP), and (5) the Environmental and Social Management System.
